So the old story goes something like this:
A man prays everyday to God saying "Please God, let me win the lottery.." and he does this everyday for years and years. Everyday praying: "Lord, let me win the lottery..." and it goes on and on until one day the clouds part and God says to the man: "My son, PLEASE buy a ticket!"
I don't often buy lottery tickets. I buy them infrequently and without any real results. I mostly make my brother buy me scratch and win's when I go with him when he buys gas/snacks, and I lose often. Mostly I get a free ticket, or $2 that I spend on more scratch cards. But I think there is a lot more to that little story than just endorsing the purchasing of lottery tickets. I think it applies to something broader, like, Life.
You can't win if you don't play. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. All of those things are about taking chances and, mostly, sports. But I think they could apply to me. I am not a big risk taker. I am not, at all, a heart breaker. I am a belly-acher, but that is besides the point. I need to start taking more risks. I need to put myself out there more. But how can I do that Internet? Shall I hang out in bars more often? Should I mail query letters to agents? Should I self publish? Should I join online dating sites? I just don't know.
So as a distraction I am going to list all of the things I would buy if I did win the lottery.
